Special Senior Dogs
Senior dogs have a special place in our hearts at Grassroots Animal Rescue, so we try to rescue as many as possible. Often senior dogs are overlooked for their cuter and younger counterparts. It takes someone special to adopt our senior dogs. These dogs usually are the most grateful to be adopted. These senior dogs come to us for many reasons and are looking for a comfortable couch and a loving family. Please let us know if you are interested in any of our senior dogs.
Paris
Paris is a 13 year old Chihuahua who was surrendered to us in late 2020. She had to have several of her teeth removed due to dental disease right away. She is partially deaf and mostly blind, so it took her a long while to adjust to life in her foster home. Paris is finally well-adjusted to her foster home. We have decided not to rehome her in order to save her the additional stress of readjusting to a new home again. She will remain a "hospice dog" in our care. We don't know how much longer she will be with us, but she will be well cared for and loved for that time.
You can contribute to Paris's long term care on our Donations page, or send us an email to inquire about how you can sponsor Paris's supplies (puppy pads, food, probiotics, monthly heartworm and flea prevention, etc.). |
