Long Distance Adoptions
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to transport dogs at this time. All dogs must be picked up in Starkville, MS until further notice. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.
Transportation OptionsIf you are not local, there are several options for you to adopt one our dogs:
1) Drive to Starkville, MS to meet and adopt the dog. Because we are an all-volunteer rescue, we are not able to meet potential adopters outside of the Starkville area. 2) Use Delta Airlines to fly the dog to you. We use Delta Airlines to transport dogs frequently with good results. If you are interested in this option, an Adoption Coordinator will be glad to discuss the details with you and answer any questions you may have! 3) Fly to our local airport, Golden Triangle Regional Airport, and bring the dog back with you as a carry on! Please note that there are size restrictions for this option. |
Transportation Costs
We have been using Delta Airlines to transport dogs to forever homes for several years. Click here to read about Delta's Pet Shipment Program.
The cost associated with flying a dog varies based on the size of the dog and the final destination, but the cost is typically between $300-$400, including the airfare, an airline-approved travel kennel, and the required inter-state health certificates. Please note that these fees are in addition to the adoption fee.

Forever Homes Across North America! |
Due to pet overpopulation problems in the South,
many of our dogs find forever homes in the other areas where overpopulation is not such a problem. We have dogs in all of the states highlighted here, plus three dogs in Canada! |
